Keith Butler 1938-2019
Keith in His Racing Days. We are all deeply saddened by the news that Keith has died suddenly following a heart attack. Although Keith will be generally best remembered for his racing exploits back in the 1960s when he was national road race champion at both amateur and professional levels and for later being the driving force behind the Surrey Cycle Racing League, we remember him as a long time friend and member of Croydon CTC. For more details of his life in cycling, see the Cycling Weekly Obituary here. Our thoughts and condolences are with his wife Marylin and all their family at this time.
Keith at Rouen 1990. The following arrangements have been made for Keith's Funeral on Tuesday 16 April 2019: 12.30 Service and Burial at St. Bartholemews, Church Road, Horley. From 14.00 Gathering and refreshments at Rusper Golf Club, Rusper Road, RH5 5BX. The church is next to Ye Olde Six Bells pub. No flowers please. Because of the proximity to Gatwick Airport, parking is a problem. There is some parking in Church Road, and the Ye Olde Six Bells pub will let us use their car park. However if you can cycle to the Service and Rusper Golf Club afterwards it would be much appreciated, and Keith would certainly approve. If you do come by car, please leave plenty of time for parking, and do some car sharing if possible. At Rusper Golf Club parking is not a problem.
Keith at the Grave of Jacques Anquetil.

Friend and former member Michael Bedford has been in touch and provided this link to his Croydon CTC Archive of old photos. Great to see all the old and younger faces!
